The first thing you would add in your new bullet journal book is your index page and your key page(symbols).

The index page will spell out where you can find everything you wrote in your bullet journal like which catergory on which page.

It’s important to have one so you can find your pages easily when you have 100+ pages worth of content. (I will be sharing with you some beautiful and easy-to-follow designs further down that you can use for your own!)

The key page is a legend where you decide what symbols you are going to use, and allocate the meaning they represent.

You will eventually be so familiar with them that you won’t have to refer to it anymore, but for the first few entries, you will still need this page for reference. 🙂
